Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, dear Colleagues,
We cordially invite you to the 4th international symposium SPIN 2019 which will take place in Parma, Italy, June 7 – 8, 2019. Included in this scientific forum is the 34th International Workshop on Surfactant Replacement which was founded by Prof. Bengt Robertson, Stockholm and a group of dedicated European neonatologists and scientists interested in basic and clinical surfactant research. This group has considerably contributed to the tremendous progress in neonatal respiratory care in the past few decades and has recently decided to expand the scope of this symposium to include all aspects of neonatal medicine.
During the next year’s symposium the latest results of surfactant trials, new surfactant administration techniques and a spectrum of relevant clinical topics will be critically discussed and presented by highly respected experts from various fields of neonatal care. We are extraordinarily grateful to all speakers for accepting our invitation.
As with all past workshops, we would like to encourage neonatologists, basic scientists and especially young investigators to submit their latest research findings for review. Accepted abstracts will be presented during the plenary or poster sessions.
This symposium is characterized by its friendly atmosphere which will allow a stimulating and fruitful exchange of ideas. We very much hope that you can join us at the SPIN 2019 meeting.
