Over 260 participants, from 40 countries around the world. These are the numbers of the first edition of Shaping the future of Pediatrics, the first European conference on innovation in pediatrics, organized by the Ospedale Pediatrico Bambino Gesù, in partnership with iSPI – international Society for Pediatric Innovation.

From September 20th to 22nd, 2017, the event gathered 60 speakers in Rome, at the Auditorium Antonianum, selected among the most important international players in healthcare innovation, from doctor and researchers to patients.

The aim of the conference, specifically dedicated to pediatricians, researchers, nurses, patients, entrepreneurs and specialists in the field of innovation in pediatrics, was to promote the idea that innovation is the result of a multidisciplinary collaboration across various disciplines.

The conference focused on four topics, identified as the crucial ones to shape the future of pediatrics: omics and personalized medicine, big Data and digital integration, patients and participatory medicine, innovation cycle in pediatrics.
