Submit your Abstract

Abstract must be submitted under any of the following topics:

  • Family support
  • Follow up
  • Nutrition
  • Lung
  • Kidney
  • Infection
  • Perinatology
  • Circulation
  • Neurology

Every abstract should be structured as follows: 

  • Structuring Background/Aims: What is the major problem that prompted the study?

  • Methods: How was the study performed?

  • Results: What are the most important findings?

  • Conclusion: What is (are) the most important conclusion(s)?

  • Abstract Titles must be given in sentence case (not in capital or lower case only)

  • Authors without titles or degrees, one forename must be given in full.

  • Affiliation Name and address of department(s) and institution(s) to which the work should be attributed.

  • Keywords are to be placed before the abstract text

  • Number of words: 350 we recommend using word-processing software (for
    example, Word) for editing your abstract and counting the number of words

  • Images: 1 figure OR 1 table per abstract (300 dpi) – PLEASE NOTE: Do not include the caption inside the image/tab. A space to insert the caption is available in the abstract submission form.

 

BEFORE YOU BEGIN, PLEASE NOTE

  1. Abstract Topics – abstracts must be allocated to a specific category for the
    Scientific Programme. You will need to select the category most suited to your abstract.
  2. Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in
    parentheses after the full word appears the first time.
  3. Use generic names of drugs. Express numbers as numerals.
  4. Once submitted, abstracts will be considered final according to Karger
    submission conditions and cannot be modified afterwards.

Publication Opportunity

  1. The Scientific Committee will select the Best Abstracts, which will be
    published in the scientific journal Neonatology.
  2. The Best Abstract Winner will also receive a voucher for one Open
    Access publication free of charge.
  3. The Award Ceremony will take place during the “Do’s and Don’ts”
    Congress in Bratislava
  4. To be eligible for the Karger Prize and publication, authors must be
    registered participants of the UENPS Congress.
