1.Fetal oxygenation and acid base balance, basics of physiological reserve and hypoxic injury in labour
2.Detection of fetal compromise in low risk labour by intermittent auscultation
3.Interpretation of cardiotocography, and clinical response to different patterns
4.Use of adjunctive technologies for fetal surveillance
5.An interactive review of cases with expert analysis and general discussion

Obstetric anal sphincter injuries are among the most serious complications during vaginal delivery and are a major cause of anal incontinence in women. Consequently, the knowledge of diagnostic and repair of these injuries is crucial for obstetricians. By theoretical and practical training during this course, we hope we can give you the adequate training to recognize and repair 3-4 degree tears. This course is essential for all doctors practicing obstetrics and repairing perineal tears but will also be useful to midwives.

This intesive course will give the participants basic knowledge of severe perineal tears and a practical supervision preventing these tears. Further, every participant is going to have a personal training session based on individual desire and needs. After the workshop the participants will be able to understand the complex situation better, prevent the damage, know how to manage it, and make a plan for future care.

A workshop to improve the quality of care birthing staff provide, while improving their own resilience and well-being. Relying on the latest research in neuroscience, cognitive psychology, communication, coping skills and psycho-traumatology. Offering an experiential learning environment, with a focus on developing the capacity for attention, communication and self-awareness in stressful and demanding situations. Introducing a tool box of mindful meditation forms, narrative medicine and appreciative inquiry. Also introducing the MBCP concepts of horticultural time, beginner’s mind, BRANN, and meditative pain management.
Concepts that increase teamwork between colleagues and extend the team to include empowered patients.
